Fleming Family & Partners' heritage is the investment business of Robert Fleming which was founded in 1873 and which, as Robert Fleming Holdings, was sold to the Chase Manhattan Bank in August 2000. Its target client base is family groups, including the Fleming family, individuals, charities and institutions.

FF&P is an independent, privately-owned investment house, managing funds and trusts for its clients and advising on direct investments. It was established in August 2000.

The establishment of the firm marked a new chapter in the Fleming family's history of successful investment management and the creation of value for its clients and shareholders. FF&P greatly values many existing client relationships and seeks exposure for them to the world's financial markets and to a wide range of asset classes including unlisted investments.

Successful management of risk lies at the heart of FF&P's philosophy. FF&P's objective is to maximise investment returns while limiting risk, and to provide stable, long term ownership structures for its clients.
